As a proud Marine and passionate leader, Alex founded Semper Fun with a simple yet powerful mission: to bring joy, unity, and lasting memories to those who serve.

With firsthand experience of the sacrifices made by military personnel, Alex recognized the critical need for meaningful recreational experiences that strengthen camaraderie and restore balance amidst the demands of service life. His leadership is rooted in compassion, service, and a deep commitment to giving back to the military community that shaped him.

Under Alex’s direction, Semper Fun has become a trusted partner to units across the nation offering high-energy events, volunteer opportunities, and morale boosting programs that directly benefit service members and their families. His vision is not just about events; it’s about creating a culture of appreciation, support, and connection for those who protect our freedoms.

Alex believes that even the smallest act of joy can have a profound impact on a military family and he’s on a mission to make sure that every service member feels seen, valued, and celebrated.

VICE PRESIDENT

Amber Parra serves as the Vice President of Semper Fun, bringing heart, purpose, and personal commitment to the organization’s mission of uplifting the morale of our nation’s service members. Though not a veteran herself, Amber comes from a strong military family her grandfather served as Airborne in the U.S. Army, and other close family members have served in both the Marine Corps and Army. That legacy shaped her deep respect for the military and inspired her desire to give back.

Through her involvement in various support efforts, Amber has witnessed firsthand the challenges military life can bring not just to service members, but to the communities they protect. This experience fueled her dedication to do more, give back, and create moments of joy and connection for those who serve.

Amber believes that service isn’t just about wearing a uniform it’s about showing up, giving back, and being part of something bigger than yourself. Through Semper Fun, she is proud to stand alongside those who serve, building opportunities where military members feel seen, celebrated, and supported every step of the way.

SECRETARY AND DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

With over 22 years of honorable service in the United States Marine Corps, Manny Martinez brings unmatched leadership, operational excellence, and a passion for service to Semper Fun. As one of the founding supporters of the organization, Manny has been instrumental in shaping the mission and culture that defines Semper Fun today.

Manny doesn’t just lead from behind a desk he’s known for being on the ground, shoulder-to-shoulder with our volunteers at events, ensuring they have the support, resources, and motivation they need to succeed. His hands on approach is a cornerstone of our operations model, and his commitment to excellence ensures that every Semper Fun event not only meets but exceeds expectations.

Known for his operational precision, genuine leadership, and unwavering dedication to both mission and morale, Manny serves as a bridge between our partners and our volunteers. He ensures that each event runs smoothly while upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.

BOARD MEMBER & LOGISTICS COORDINATOR

With over 20 years of honorable service in the United States Marine Corps, Art Padilla brings a wealth of leadership, integrity, and operational expertise to his role as Logistics Coordinator and Board Member of Semper Fun. Art is the backbone of our logistical operations, ensuring every event runs smoothly from start to finish, and that our volunteers are equipped, informed, and inspired to serve.

You’ll often find Art in the field, working shoulder to shoulder with our volunteers, setting the tone with his contagious energy, and leading by example. When he’s not supporting his own unit, he’s supporting ours, serving as the direct link between our team and the volunteers who make our mission possible. From coordinating pre-event logistics to personally briefing volunteers, Art ensures every detail is covered and that everyone feels confident and prepared.

Art’s passion lies in creating a positive, structured, and welcoming experience for all who join Semper Fun’s mission. He takes the time to personally speak with volunteers, answer questions, and make sure everyone understands both the opportunity and the expectations. His clarity, honesty, and unmatched communication skills make him not just a leader, but a mentor and trusted figure in our organization.
